  • You do not have to leave home to see a psychiatrist.
  • You are seen at your convenience (evenings and weekends)
  • There is no time wasted for travelling to a hospital to see a psychiatrist.
  • Less stress on carers, friends and family members as they do not have to accompany you to hospital.

Be prepared when your appointment is due. Your psychiatrist will send you a link for the video call via email. You can decide which device you want to use for the video call. For example, if you click the video calling email link on your laptop, you can see the doctor on the laptop. If you click the email  link on your smartphone, then your phone becomes the device for the video call. We will need video to proceed with consultation.

Yes. You must have a valid photographic ID. This can be either driving licence or passport to show the Doctor.

All of our doctors are GMC-registered consultant psychiatrists with NHS- training and experience. We will carefully vet all doctors before they are allowed to see patients. (We will check their GMC details, licence to practice details, CV etc)

At AdultADHDandMentalHealth.com, we provide expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions. Our services cover Adult ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as mood disorders such as Depressive Episode/Disorder and Bipolar Affective Disorder. We also address anxiety-related conditions, including Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, and Social Anxiety. Additionally, we specialize in treating Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Uncomplicated Psychotic Disorders that do not require full multidisciplinary team (MDT) support. Our team is committed to providing personalized care to help you manage these conditions and improve your quality of life.

But please ask us if you need help with any mental health difficulties that are not present in the list.

While we provide a broad range of mental health services, there are certain conditions we are unable to treat. These include patients with a significant risk to themselves or others, individuals with Severe Personality Disorders, and those with Eating Disorders, except for mild cases of Bulimia Nervosa. We do not treat patients with Intellectual Disabilities, or any condition where the patient lacks capacity and insight. Additionally, we are unable to provide care for severe cases of any condition that requires inpatient care or more intensive support.

We understand that plans can change, and we strive to accommodate adjustments with a flexible refund policy:

  • Up to 7 days before the appointment: You will receive a full refund.
  • 48 hours to 7 days before the appointment: You will receive a 75% refund.
  • 24 to 48 hours before the appointment: You will receive a 50% refund.
  • 4 to 24 hours before the appointment: You will receive a 25% refund.
  • Within 4 hours of the appointment: No refund will be provided.

This policy helps us manage scheduling efficiently while ensuring fairness in the event of a cancellation.

If you're unable to provide a parent or elder sibling to complete the questionnaires, please contact us as soon as possible so we can discuss the best way to proceed. In this situation, we may ask a partner or close friend who has known you well for a long time to complete the questionnaire. Additionally, we may recommend that you take a Qb check Test to supplement the assessment.

It's important to reach out well before your appointment, as we may not be able to complete the entire assessment in a single session if this issue is not addressed in advance. This will help ensure a smoother process and avoid any delays

For your assessment, it’s important to provide the following documents, depending on the nature of your assessment (ADHD, Autism, or General Mental Health):

  • Old School Reports: If available, these can provide valuable historical insights.
  • Medical Records: Any relevant medical history, particularly related to mental health.
  • GP Referral Letter: If possible, a referral from your GP is highly recommended.
  • Completed Questionnaires: These will be sent to you with your appointment confirmation and must be submitted prior to the assessment.

Please note that the exact documents required may vary depending on the type of assessment you're undergoing, so feel free to reach out to clarify any specific requirements.

While a GP referral is not required, it is highly recommended. Discussing your assessment with your GP early on and securing their support can be crucial, especially if you plan to transfer the responsibility of prescribing medication to your GP through a shared care agreement. Please note that arranging the shared care agreement is your responsibility, unless you prefer to continue treatment privately.

In our experience, clients who have involved their GP prior to the assessment often benefit from quicker investigations and a smoother transition to shared care when medication is needed. Early GP involvement helps ensure long-term care is effectively coordinated and accepted.

If you're unsure which type of assessment is right for you, our team is here to help. We have the expertise to guide you in making the best decision for your needs. Simply reach out to us via email, and we’ll be happy to assist you in determining the most appropriate assessment.

If you can’t find the answer to your question, please don’t hesitate to contact us via email or telephone. Our team will do their best to assist you and provide the information you need
